About Us
Our Mission

At HealthBegins, we have long encouraged our partners to take a multi-level analysis to improve health equity, including by addressing the social and structural drivers of health. Health equity is determined by more than healthcare—it’s influenced by housing, education, transportation, and economic opportunity. The Health Equity Policy Hub unleashes the power of individuals, organizations, and communities to transform policy uncertainty into action for a more equitable future. Through rapid, accessible updates, clear analyses of executive policies, and equipping and fueling collective action, we ensure health professionals quickly understand emerging policy threats, their impacts on health equity, and provide inspiration and support for institutional action.
Who We Are
The Health Equity Policy Hub is an initiative of HealthBegins, a national mission-driven strategy and implementation firm that helps Medicaid-managed care plans, health systems, and social service organizations meet health care equity and social needs goals and achieve long-term impact for people and communities harmed by societal policies and practices.
What We Do
The Health Equity Policy Tracker monitors executive actions that impact health equity, categorizing them by status, agency, and affected populations. Most importantly, it provides a list of institutional actions health professionals can take in response to policies.
The tracker is updated weekly, as our volunteer capacity allows. Please sign up to be informed when new policies are added.

The Mobilization Network equips and connects individuals and organizations ready to take action. Site visitors can use the mobilization network page to search for an existing group near them, or start a group themselves with the support of the Mobilization Network community. Those in the network receive resources, training and peer support. Many groups start with just one person and then grow!
Get Involved
The Health Equity Policy Hub is heavily fueled by dedicated individuals offering their time in-kind. We invite policymakers, researchers, and community advocates to use the Health Equity Policy Hub as a resource and contribute to our collective effort. Interested in supporting us through sponsorship? Interested in getting involved?
